Knights & Knaves

     This is a game of picaresque fantasy in a dangerous, unforgiving, and deeply corrupt world. You play as dashing warriors and daring rogues. Whether you strive to right the world's wrongs or take advantage of them for your own gain is up to you, but in the end you're a lovable adventurer all the same. This game is made to take place in a low fantasy world, where magic is restricted, illegal, uncommon, or even non existent. Your heroes, antiheroes, or villains must live by their own wit and cunning, by their own flesh and steel, if they wish to survive, nay thrive, and gain wealth beyond their wildest imaginations in the process of their grand adventures. Dark tombs, horrifying monsters, corrupt kings, eldritch magic, grand hordes, and those phenomena in the world which are yet unexplained; this world has it all for an adventurer, if only they're willing to set out to lands yet untamed. 

     Knights & Knaves is my first stab in the dark at designing an RPG completely from scratch. What started out as a simple hack of Lasers & Feelings for my fantasy loving group eventually became its own full fledged game. Now that I feel it's pretty much complete, I thought that I might as well share it with the world. I might even release a supplement or two in the future to advance the game further. This game is perfect for a one shot or a short campaign of several sessions.

     It is light and simple, but has enough meat on its bones to last and stay exciting. It features my own basic system, using a dice pool of twelve sided dice, as well as plenty of simple yet exciting rules on combat, injury, death, wealth, and even an optional magic system for those who wish to make their game a little more advanced. This modified system has become its own unique beast, and its basic resolution mechanic, a system I like to call "Tracks", is used in multiple unique ways. In future potential supplements I hope to show you the versatility of tracks, and use them in even more creative mechanics.
